Position Overview
The Project Property Officer plays an important role in the delivery of the Courts’ national property and accommodation initiatives, including the delivery of capital works projects the provision of advice to internal and external stakeholders and the management of outsourced property services contracts. The role also requires direct contact with judges of both the Federal Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
The position of Property Projects Officer reports to the Assistant Director of Property and is responsible for the delivery of the Entity's national property and accommodation initiatives with respect to the project management of building construction, fit out alterations and relocations as required by the Entity’s property related capital works program.

Duties
Selection Criteria
All applicants must address, as part of their application, the following selection criteria:
1. Experience and understanding of: a. Property project management; b. Coordination of property related professional disciplines; c. Contract management; and d. Knowledge and appreciation of the Commonwealth's environmental management policies. e. Client-side project management experience f. Commonwealth Government 2. Demonstrated sense of timeliness and an ability to balance competing priorities, maintain high work standards and meet deadlines.
3. Demonstrated understanding/experience with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act
4. Demonstrated client service background and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including negotiation and representational skills, together with an ability to prepare comprehensive business cases, technical reports and briefing material.
6. Strong knowledge of and commitment to the principles of industrial democracy, equal employment opportunity, work health and safety, and privacy.
7. Preparation and management of project / development related controls: contracts, agreements, programs, reports

Eligibility
To be eligible for employment with the Federal Court of Australia, you must be an Australian Citizen and will be required to provide proof of citizenship if you are the successful applicant.
Applicants offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
