Wildlife and Habitat Project Officer
We are excited to offer:
- Fixed term full time role from July 2024 to 15th December 2025.
- Work in a stunning coastal location, protecting little Penguins and other amazing wildlife.
- Work on an exciting project to redevelop the Penguin Parade for future generations.
- Onsite work arrangement.
The Role:
In this role, you'll be spearheading the Penguin Parade Boardwalks and Stands Redevelopment project. You will be responsible for project management, making every effort to minimise adverse effects while working to safeguard animals, habitats, and Aboriginal cultural heritage.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in wildlife management and handling or a similar role.
- Experienced with construction sites and contractors, or transferable skills from similar experience.
- Experienced with developing vegetation or habitat management plans, or transferable skills from similar experience.
- Advanced experience in use of Microsoft Office (word, project, excel, PowerPoint, outlook) programs.
- Well-developed communication and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
