Digital Capability Division (DCD) within the newly established Defence Digital Group (DDG) is seeking to recruit multiple EL 2 - ICT Capability Analysts within the Defence ICT environment. Your leadership, innovation and research skills are required to strengthen Australia’s national security and ICT resilience to enhance Defence’s capability decisions. These Director roles are new and offer challenging and exciting work that will make a direct impact to Defence’s digital capability. Your typical day will involve leading teams in analysing information, influencing and briefing senior leaders, problem solving and collaborating with stakeholders.You will:
- Lead, support and mentor a team, including managing workflow, allocated resources and setting priorities;
- Apply expertise in capability development processes to progress innovative ICT capability development initiatives within Defence;
- Evaluate and provide high-level advice on ICT capability proposals including assessments of the strategic context, ICT capability options, resource implications, risks and acquisition strategies; and
- Analyse risks of ICT capability proposals to inform decisions and support senior Defence officials.
A successful EL 2 - ICT Capability Analyst will exercise a considerable degree of independence, have proven leadership skills within a diverse, disperse and integrated workforce of capability-focused professionals and will be accountable for the delivery of complex capability development work.Our ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent understanding of Australia’s strategic policy;
- Extensive experience leading a team of capability-focused professionals in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed, maturing, and results-driven environment;
- Outstanding communication, planning and relationship building skills; and
- Experience providing guidance to senior level officials.
