Our values are Care, Excellence, Creativity and Empowerment.About the RoleWe are currently looking for an experienced Industry Capability & Inclusion Data Analyst to join us and support multiple projects across the North Western Program Alliance, based in Sunshine, VIC. Reporting to the Industry Capability & Inclusion Manager, you'll be responsible for evaluating procurement data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information, analysing spend and spend behaviours and trends, develop strategies and coordinate efforts with projects and other NWPA internal stakeholders. Enhancing innovation and continuous improvement to maximise NWPA's ability to monitor, evaluate and report on performance relating to the Victorian Social Procurement Framework, Local Jobs First policy, and other social value initiatives.This position will play an important role in supporting data cleansing, consolidation, and the presentation to aid in promoting inclusivity, diversity, and social procurement across the Alliance and Industry partners.Key Responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain databases and spreadsheets containing data relevant to key initiatives and key performance indicators.
• Ensure data complies with Victorian Government policy requirements as part of the Local Jobs First Policy (LJF) and Social Procurement Framework (SPF).
• Review monthly workforce and social spend data to ensure compliance with policy requirements (Social Procurement Expenditure, Aboriginal Engagement Targets and Major Projects Skills Guarantee - Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets) reviewing data for accuracy and integrity
• Undertake data analytics and data mining and provide recommendations to commercial teams
• Create visual, meaningful and user-friendly dashboards for presentation to all levels of NWPA
• Identify trends and analysis in the data and draft reports and recommendations so insights can be drawn to reliably inform strategic decision making.
• Apply a continuous improvement focus by proactively identifying improvements in the way data is captured and reported on in the various systems (SharePoint, Excel, Salesforce, PowerBI).
• Develop process, system and user documentation and training materials.
• Analytical support to cross-functional teams
• Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence on complex Industry Capability and Inclusion matters.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar role
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or a related field
• Demonstrated analytical skills and experience working with multi-dimensional database management systems
• Intermediate Office 355 skills, particularly in relation to Microsoft Excel with the ability to proficiently create pivot tables, v-look-up and dashboards.
• Database knowledge such as SQL and DAX and experience with Microsoft Power BI and Salesforce an advantage.
• Demonstrated high level attention to detail and the ability to interrogate data to ensure accuracy and integrity, manage and maintain a range of data visualisation outputs
• Uses relevant information and critical thinking to analyse and get to the core of complex problems or issues. Looks to different sources of information to make decisions in a considered and timely way.
• The ability to proactively introduce new and creative approaches to activities, work processes, and products, as well as improving the vision of existing work approaches
