As a Paralegal You will be responsible  to provide administrative support to our Legal & CoSec team at Yancoal Australia. 

Your responsibilities include

  • Providing Board/Committee meeting support including translating meeting papers, preparing shell minutes, assisting with minutes’ translation, assisting with meeting pack preparation, setting up teleconferences, and printing meeting packs for the executive team.
  • Assistance in managing company registers, processing ASIC lodgement
  • Invoice (payable) management
  • Travel/ trip booking/ cost assistance
  • Weekly/monthly/ work update assistance
  • Assistance in updating and managing the M-file for the legal and compliance team
  • Company Website update
  • Complete translation of the following documents for Legal compliance team and investor relations function
  • Provide meeting/conference interpretation as required

What does your daily life look like at Yancoal?

To be successful in the role you will require the following skills & experience:

Qualifications:

  • Relevant administration or translating qualification (NAATI Certification preferred).

Experience:

  • Experience providing administrative support at a senior level preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Experience in translating organisational documents between English and Chinese.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural environment is desirable.
  • Background in legal affairs is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English and Chinese.
  • Strong administration skills, thorough and detail orientated.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

What do you need to be successful in the role?

To be successful in the role you will require the following skills & experience:
