The Financial Operations Directorate is responsible for ensuring a high-quality financial environment for the department through robust governance and processes and by providing accurate and timely guidance on financial operational matters. The Directorate delivers accounts payable and receivable, treasury management, Financial Systems administration, travel and purchase card management.
Duties
- Project manage the design and implementation of new Financial Management Information System.
- Management of Technology One and Expense8 systems, including system configuration changes, user access maintenance, help desk inquiries, train new system users and system testing.
- Coding and running adhoc SQL queries to generate data extracts for QoNs, data analysis, and audit inquiries and develop dashboards and reports for the senior leadership.
- Manage the data migration process & master data tidy-up & management.
- Lead, supervise and develop a small team.
- Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Financial Systems.
- Manage the ongoing development, implementation, system performance and quality assurance of the financial management systems and processes used.
- Build rapport and maintain internal and external relationships, respond to enquiries, provide assistance and factual advice in a timely manner.
- Manage prioritisation of own workloads and those of team, ensuring work activities are completed to agreed timeframes and standard, undertake quality assurance reviews of information and work, and ensuring quality customer service and advice.
- Preparation and approval of end of month processes.
