12-month, Non-Ongoing Opportunity: EL1 Assistant Director, Media and Communications
Join our organisation as a key player in shaping and influencing the national agenda on a critical health issue. As an Assistant Director, Media and Communications, you will be a vital part of our team, driving impactful communication and media strategies to make a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive Media and communication strategies to promote our organization's mission and goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop key messaging and ensure consistent communication across all channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, media representatives, and advocacy groups.
- Analyze and report on media coverage, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
- Create high-quality written content, including media releases, speeches, and social media posts.
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to drive engagement and increase online presence.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as journalism, communications, or public health.
- A minimum of three years of experience in Media and Communications, with a focus on health or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Experience working with government agencies or non-profit organisations is an asset.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
