The ICT Systems and Operations Manager is responsible for the College’s ICT systems. The College ICT Systems Department provides client-centred, solution-focused ICT services to staff, students and parents of Marist College Canberra.
This is a key position within the ICT team that drives and leads the delivery of ICT services and programs that reflect contemporary best practice, and in consultation with the Director of Business Services, Deputy Headmaster and Assistant Head of School – Learning and Teaching aims to achieve optimal outcomes for the College’s strategic operational and business requirements.
A summary of key responsibilities include:
1. Create, consult, document, communicate and implement the College’s ICT strategy and supporting plans for the School, working closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support agreed technology solutions;
2. Keep abreast of the latest and emerging technologies that may be of benefit to the organisation, present recommendations in a timely manner and incorporate agreed recommendations into the ICT strategy and plans.
3. In collaboration with the Director of Business Services, support the coordination and design of ICT- related projects and activities.
4. Provide leadership and support with respect to all ICT systems, operations and infrastructure within the School, ensuring that an appropriate technical support framework is in place, including the management and delivery of services;
5. Manage ICT capital and expenditure in line with the agreed ICT budget in conjunction with the Director of Business Services; and
6. Define and implement, as endorsed by College Executive, ICT policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with school’s expectations.
