Randstad Recruitment is currently seeking a Statutory Planner to join a State Government organisation on an initial 8-month assignment. This assignment has strong potential for an ongoing position and is paying $50-$65 p/hour + super.
The Statutory Planner will be responsible for:
- Working on Statutory Planning referrals based on flood protection and land affected by flooding
- Managing simple to moderate complexity of applications allocated to them
- Interpreting and applying expert technical flood advice regarding articulation of hydraulic aspects, flood risk and potential measures that could reduce flood risk in accordance with state and the organisations policies and procedures.
- Managing the timely and effective resolution of most types of escalations and complaints
What you'll need:
- At least 1-2 years experience in Planning
- Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Building Surveying or Engineering or closely aligned discipline required, statutory planning preferred
