The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
Looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in the Contact Centre sector? The NDIA is currently seeking talented and motivated EL1 Assistant Directors Learning and Development in our National Contact Centre (NCC). This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your capability building experience and make a real impact in the lives of people with disabilities.
The NCC is the main communication channel for people to connect with the NDIA. Our team responds to enquiries from participants, prospective participants, providers, organisations, and the public. In addition to managing outbound call campaigns and internal IT support, the NCC handles various processing workloads.
Where you can add value The EL1 Assistant Director Learning and Development is responsible for the full lifecycle of Learning and Development solutions and resources. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:
  • Building the capacity of NCC staff, delegates and other Contact Centre employees by managing and delivering training and workshops.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress of projects, including needs analysis, vendor relationship management, learning design and facilitation, eLearning and inductions.
  • Working with NCC third party providers and key stakeholders to achieve outcomes and ensure consistent services across all NCC channels.
  • Identifying, documenting and escalating local NCC issues and risks to support continuous improvement of NCC processes.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Learning and Development sector, the ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated. They will have a talent for leading engagement across business areas, understanding the portfolios of all teams within the branch. They will have demonstrated proficiency in applying critical and strategic thinking skills to achieve desired outcomes. Excellent communication skills, acting with integrity and caring for the people you work with are essential to be successful in this role. The successful candidate will have comprehensive experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels and demonstrated analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.

While this role is ideally performed from Dandenong - VIC, Midland - WA, Robina - QLD, Geelong - VIC, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
