Operations and Technical Managers - Executive Level 1

The Division is seeking a number of Assistant Director Roles which support the Mission leadership. These roles are available in the following fields:

• Operations
• Analysis
• Engineering (Technical Specialist)

About our Team
Access and Effects Operations Division plays a vital role in shaping Australia’s strategic cyber landscape. These teams are front and centre of ASD’s cyber capability and consistently deliver world class outcomes for the Australian Government and community.

These teams collaborate across ASD to find innovative solutions in a fast paced and high energy environment.

Our Ideal Candidate
Assistant Directors play an important role in shaping the direction of their team and advancing mission outcomes. Our candidates will:

• Be energetic, motivated and thorough when conducting your work, and be agile when supporting ASD’s overall mission
• Drive and lead operational activities, including leading a mission team to deliver operational outcomes
• Demonstrate ability to inspire, collaborate and communicate with influence
• Write and communicate effectively, with a focus on conveying technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Prioritise competing tasks and manage time appropriately
• Plan work milestones to achieve long-term goals
• Produce quality work in situations where guidance is limited
• Work collaboratively within a large team, and across all parts of ASD.
