EL1 Policy Analyst
We are currently seeking individuals to join Federal Government client within their team as EL1 Policy Analysts on non-ongoing 12-month contracts. As an EL1 Policy Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping national policy on work health and safety (WHS) and workers’ compensation in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Lead nationally significant projects to develop and implement policy initiatives
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based policy advice on complex WHS and workers’ compensation issues
- Manage and mentor a small team of APS level staff
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
We have openings for EL1 Policy Analysts in the following areas:
- Chemicals Policy: Developing national policy to protect workers from hazardous chemical exposure.
- High Risk Work and Industries Policy: Providing guidance on safe work practices and overseeing WHS Regulations for high-risk work.
- Workers’ Compensation Policy: Developing national policy on workers’ compensation and leading activities under the National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030.
- WHS Framework: Developing and overseeing national policy relating to the model WHS Act, including its application in non-traditional workplace settings.
