The OpportunityOn behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for an experienced
PowerBI Developer to join the Service Reliability team based in Geelong. This is a 12 month assignment.As the Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing advanced dashboards to support corporate reporting and data sharing across the organisation, playing a critical role in providing actionable insights and enhancing operational effectiveness.
Duties will include;- Design and develop PowerBi dashboards and reports that accurately represent complex data sets and meet business needs
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data visualisation requirements and translate these into effective PowerBi solutions.
- Ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of PowerBI dashboards, including optimising data models for efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PowerBI developments and integrate new features and capabilities to continually enhance dashboard functionalities.
- Provide training and support to staff in using PowerBi dashboards, ensuring widespread adoption
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
To be considered you will demonstrate;
- Proven experience in PowerBI development, with a strong portfolio of successfully deployed dashboards and reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and transform it into impactful visual representations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various stakeholders and understand their data reporting needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Data Integration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Power BI Service Administration and Data Governance.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in data-specific roles or similar stream.
- Relevant tertiary or industry recognised qualification.
Desirable skills include;
- Experience in working in the SAS VA Environment
- Experience working in the SPLUNK Environment
- Coding Languages: Python, SQL, SAS SQL, SPL
