Job Title: EL1 Project Manager-Digital Delivery
Location: Canberra/ Open for hybrid work
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Duties
* Co-ordinate technical solution planning activities for new capabilities and features requested by the business, involving specialty teams within OCIO.
* Develop the project schedule and maintain the OCIO plan, balancing technical dependencies and business requirements and other priorities.
* Deliver all technical components of the project solution, working with other internal teams to develop system and solution architectures, cyber security and other aspects of the technology delivery for which OCIO is responsible.
* Manage delivery partner(s) for system implementation.
* Work closely with the Product Owner & Scrum team staying abreast of the day-to-day delivery of the core technology solution being delivered in sprints, whilst providing guidance and being the OCIO point of escalation for resolution for technical issues.
* Represent the project in OCIO ICT Change Management activities and release planning.
* Ensure OCIO technology standards are met, including Cyber assessments, Penetration testing, Go/No-Go gates.
* Apply DevOps principles to improve quality and reliability, in areas such release processes, automated regression testing, integration with OCIO monitoring systems, and synthetic testing.
* Actively manage project delivery using OCIO's standard Project Management tool, including management of plans, risks, issues and key decisions.
* Publish Weekly OCIO Status Reports and review with the Integration Director.
* Maintain a positive collaborative team environment including business and delivery partner(s).
* Provide ICT Delivery leadership to the team, including conformance to delivery methods.
* Be a champion for continuous improvement, leveraging deep experience in ICT Delivery
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience of 8-10 years in establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projects, including mobile applications.
* Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies.
* Experience in Project Management in Federal or State Government environments.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications; and an industry recognised qualification in project management,
such as Diploma of Project Management or SAFe Agile.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and ability to obtain Security clearance.
