The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Senior Business Analyst, ideally with a background in the life to join our client on a 12-month labour-hire basis.
This role will be pivotal in the procurement and implementation of a Laboratory Management System (LIMS) and will involve analysing current business processes to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
The role involves travel Australia wide for a few days every month or two to attend national strategic meetings. If you thrive on defining and documenting business requirements, this role is tailor-made for you.
The Role
As the Senior Business Analyst, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyse current laboratory business processes and data flows, leveraging biological sciences expertise to identify improvement opportunities
- Define and document business requirements and specifications for the LIMS implementation project using modern elicitation techniques
- Collaborate with LIMS vendor, IT team, and laboratory staff to design, configure, test, and deploy a tailored LIMS solution
- Support user acceptance testing, preparing test cases and documenting outcomes
- Train end-users and provide ongoing support during and after LIMS implementation; monitor system performance and suggest enhancements
The ideal person for this role will have:
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or consultant in life sciences
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, biotechnology, or related field
- Proficiency in LIMS implementation, configuration, and validation
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data standards, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
$115/hr – $135/hr
