SalaryOur client, a federal government agency responsible for ensuring that the Australian healthcare industry continues to provide safe, high quality services. Within this sits a team tasked with developing strategies and tools to monitor and report on patient safety in order to better understand the effectiveness of the agencies policies.This role will contribute to the work of the Patient Safety Measurement team with a focus on the following program areas:
- Development of strategies, standards, and tools to support the measurement, monitoring and reporting of safety and quality in health care.
- Incorporation of safety and quality into pricing of public hospital services in Australia.
- Coordinating the development and potential operationalisation of national acute care safety and quality measurement improvements by leading research, consultation, and cross-jurisdictional collaboration.
- Understanding of, and experience in, the Australian healthcare system.
- Highly developed written communication skills.
- Highly developed research skills, including performing literature reviews, environmental scans with the ability to synthesis findings.
- An ability to understand quantitative data and structure arguments using the analysis of such data.
- Communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
