Your new role
The EL2 Business Improvement is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the Enabling Services Transformation and Improvement functions of the Agency. The position is an important team leadership position within the organisation and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision-making for the team membership and assigned contractors working within the work area.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Leading multiple Business Improvement engagements that transition business experiences to their desired future states.
- Driving operating model maturity, process uplift and transformation in end-to-end business outcomes.
- Developing a business architecture to optimise business operations and processes.
- Applying improvement frameworks to drive improved business outcomes.
- Empowering business areas with change management support to embed business area transformation and improvements.
- Establishing a governance structure for tracking and monitoring portfolio progress.
- Leading a dedicated team of improvement practitioners, embedding collaborative efforts with initiative owners.
- Tailoring and developing initiatives that directly enhance the operational efficiency of their respective business areas.
What you'll need to succeed
- Enterprise business architecture experience
- Improvement framework experience (specifically Lean methodologies)
- Ability and experience in implementing Business Improvements
- Strong stakeholder management skillset
- Enhancement and transformation of end-to-end business processes and outcomes (including developing operating model maturity)
