The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability.

For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian. A new role awaits

The Integrity Transformation Division is seeking an EL2 Executive Officer to provide project management, support services and strategic advice to the Division and Group Senior Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and their division.

The Division is responsible for the National Contact Centre and delivery of large-scale transformation programs that improve the participant experience and the integrity of the Scheme. It includes the Crack Down on Fraud (CDoF) program and supports the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) and Program Board to deliver its objectives and milestones.

People interacting with the Scheme will find it ‘easier to get it right, and harder to get it wrong’. Where you can add value The EL2 Executive Officer undertakes a wide variety of tasks, including writing, reviewing and providing advice on briefs, ministerial correspondence, Senate Estimates and division and branch documents.

They will develop an understanding of organisational, group and divisional priorities and direction and navigate the team towards that direction.

Responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to:- Provision of advice to the ELT and others within the Agency Ensuring items for clearance are submitted on time, and process and compliance standards across key functional areas are met. Overseeing and managing the division executive budget, procurements and recruitment exercises.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, resilient and able to operate independently. You will demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and trust when dealing with sensitive personnel matters.

Experience in a similar role, supporting senior executives in a federal government organisation and an understanding of obligations in relation to parliamentary processes, gateway review processes and cabinet reviews will be highly valued.

Ideally, you will have a strong finance background, a working knowledge of recruitment and onboarding processes with the Australian Public Service and experience in Commonwealth procurement processes, new policy proposals and two-pass business cases. Your NDIA Experience

While this role is ideally performed from ACT -Deakin, NSW – Surry Hills, QLD – Brisbane, SA – Adelaide, VIC – Richmond or VIC – Geelong remote working arrangements may be considered.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered .
