The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. For many Australians, this will be the first time they receive the disability support they need. The NDIA is designed to enhance the quality of life and increase economic and social participation for people with disability and will mean a peace of mind for every Australian.
A new role awaits
We have an exciting new opportunity for an EL2 Project Director to join the User Acceptance Testing team (UTA) – which is part of the Process and Design Branch.
The Platform, Process and Design Branch aims to improve the participant experience by identifying process improvements, designing, and delivering solutions to enhance business systems.
This role will appeal to you if you are focused on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
This role will be filled either in Geelong or Richmond, Victoria.

Bring your management and leadership skills to this highly effective team, where you will have a focus on delivering a highly complex and/or sensitive projects and work program outcomes within the Service Delivery functions that have strategic or operational significance to the NDIA.

Within this role you will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for Leading a team of test analysts to develop test scenarios based on a comprehensive understanding of NDIA systems.
Key components of the role include but not limited to:
  • Ensuring test analysts are incorporated into multidisciplinary teams and support testing during all cycle times.
  • Leading Assistive Technology testing to NDIA standards.
  • Collaborating with Office of the Chief Information Office (OCIO) throughout any testing period to identify and remediate any issues and negotiate amended work practices.
  • Ability to recommend decisions in a comprehensive Test Summary Report to Leadership.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
To thrive in the role, you will have vast knowledge and background in IT based user acceptance testing. You will have exceptional ability to problem solve under a solution-based framework and manage effective stakeholder relationships including understanding operational business needs whilst leading a team to focus on NDIA systems and processes and be familiar with the planning process.
You may have Salesforce experience which would be highly valued, however not essential.
Being a leader within this role you will be our part of a continuous improvement journey from the 3P Program (Participants, Platforms & Process) into a broader scope of work that is generally PACE centric.
You will be passionate about leading and managing the capability of others and will be willing to work collaboratively within a dedicated executive team and can shape and influence stakeholders at all levels to the value what the UAT team can add value to outcomes of the NDIA work plan.

While this role is ideally performed from VIC - Geelong & Richmond, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months may be offered with the possibility of extension of up to 2 years total.
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
