The Elective Surgery Services team is seeking applicants from clerical staff to perform duties relating to managing patients on the Elective Surgery Waiting List, by providing an efficient, compassionate, respectful and reliable administrative service to support all specialties within Monash Health. About the Role and You
The position of Elective Services Clerk is responsible for managing all administrative duties related to Elective bookings across multiple sites. This includes data entry and patient inquiries from the point of referral to the day of admission. The role is multi-faceted and will encompass working throughout the different areas of the department including telephone enquiries, processing of Requests for Elective Admissions (REA), patient data entry and appointment scheduling in the patient administration system (iPM) and outlook, scanned medical records (SMR), electronic medical records (EMR), and collating and preparing relevant paperwork for scanning.
We are seeking a friendly, compassionate person who enjoys supporting patients through their surgical journey in a busy and dynamic team. Previous history in health care setting and skilled in iPM/outlook desirable.
