Electrical and Controls Supervisor – Wetherill Park
The Opportunity
An exciting opening awaits an adept Electrical and Controls Supervisor in our Construction Systems Business Unit located in Wetherill Park, NSW.
In this role, you will take charge of managing, leading, and mentoring the site electrical team and Electrical Engineers. Your responsibilities include developing and overseeing site electrical, controls, and automation capabilities.
Additionally, you will supervise and implement site improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, aligning with CSR and CS strategic objectives for Cemintel production. Your role also encompasses the management of Cemintel's Risk Reduction Program initiatives, with a special focus on enhancing safety protocols.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the development and oversight of site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve set targets
- Supervise the site electrical team and coordinate their activities
- Oversee Electrical Engineering Contractors and ensure effective management of their work
- Define and administer the site electrical budget for optimal financial control
- Spearhead the definition and execution of site Capital programs
- Establish and enforce safe working standards aligned with regulatory guidelines
- Foster a proactive "Never Walk Past" culture and integrate safe work practices
- Create and implement PLC working protocols
- Devise, execute, and supervise strategic process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing site waste, increasing machine cycle times, and minimizing machine downtimes and delays
- Take charge of the site local network management
- Contribute to the management and execution of preventative maintenance programs.
- Manage all aspects of the site electrical department, addressing technical support needs from other site departments
- Adhere to all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) WHSE policies and requirements.
- Define, develop, and implement training opportunities for continuous skill enhancement.
- Oversee the site Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle
- Electrical Trade licence or electrical, mechanical, or mechatronic engineering degree
- 10+ years operational experience in process engineering within a best practice manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC, SCADA and network fault diagnosis, knowledge
- Experience in Alen Bradley and Rockwell Automation
- Strong analytical ability and strategic problem-solving skills, such as TPM-PM, LEAN, DMAIC, 5S, 6SIGMA
- Strong safety leadership skills
- 5+ years' experience in Asset Management techniques, and use of SAP
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders
