Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of cutting-edge technology? We're seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join us in our mission to revolutionise the world of 3D metal printing.
At SPEE3D, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff, contributing to the assembly and testing of state-of-the-art 3D metal printing machines and sub-assemblies. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring our products meet the highest standards while supporting various functional requirements such as documentation, applications, installations, and service needs.
The role:
- Lead Electrical Assembly, testing, and commissioning activities for new production builds and major assemblies.
- Provide technical support and training for manufacturing, service engineers, and SPEE3D service agents.
- Assist with wiring and validation of machines during initial power-up and commissioning stages.
- Conduct product validation and commissioning at the completion of each production build.
- Collaborate with the operations team to provide feedback on design, quality, assembly issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive documentation development for SPEE3D products, including build instructions and quality gates.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation processes.
Competencies:
- Background in machine tools, special purpose machinery building, or similar industries.
- Minimum trade certificate of proficiency (Electrical fitter, Electrical mechanic, or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical work style.
- Proven problem-solving skills and root cause analysis experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
