A bit about the role
Working in this role at the City of Casey involves administering compliance for animal registrations and land use permits, ensuring adherence to the Local Laws and Domestic Animals Act 1994. This includes assessing and processing applications, and approving permits for public and private land use. Additionally, the role requires fostering a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture, involving working closely with colleagues, providing excellent customer service, and actively contributing to team initiatives and activities.
What you’ll deliver
- Administer income-related activities for animal registrations, renewals, and maintenance to reduce unregistered animals efficiently.
- Manage permit-related income activities to process new applications and renewals, reducing non-compliance promptly..
- Maintain and process animal credits, associations, and other related activities as directed.
- Input and maintain accurate information in Council databases promptly.
- Undertake regular maintenance of databases to ensure information accuracy.
- Maintain document accuracy and compliance with corporate style requirements.
- Develop visually appealing and easy-to-read documents that comply with legislative and corporate requirements.
- Store documents in Council's approved records systems.
What you’ll bring
- Requires understanding of relevant technology, procedures, and processes.
- Previous experience in Compliance Administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret, understand and reference Council’s Local Law and Legislative Acts
- Previous experience using TechnologyOne or similar database
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, valid Victorian drivers’ licence.
