Our client is a leading Electrical Contractor/ Consulting firm specialising in providing comprehensive solutions for electrical and telecommunications projects. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Design Project Manager to join our team based out of the Hendra Office in Brisbane.
Role Overview:
- Lead and manage a dynamic team of designers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving outstanding design outcomes.
- Supervise the creation of Energex works and plans and ensure all requirements are met to create detailed and accurate subdivision design.
- Ensure compliance with Energex standards, regulations, and guidelines throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery, addressing any challenges and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
- Act as a key point of contact between the design team, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Energex design, with a solid understanding of Energex subdivisions and associated requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting Energex works plans and related documentation.
- A desire to develop strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs that align with Energex standards and guidelines.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing design challenges.
- Prior experience in project management or team leadership roles is a plus.
Qualifications,
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or;
- Diploma of Electrical Engineering or;
- QLD Electrical Licence (current or previous)
