The Position
At MGM Alliance, we're in search of an Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, the individual will leverage their expertise to stay current with industry trends, regulations, and pricing dynamics. They will also conduct in-depth studies to develop and establish cost-related data while driving cost reductions.
About the Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be estimating within the electrical, mechanical, civil and facility maintenance sectors. The key responsibilities include:
- Generate precise estimates by meticulously evaluating material and labour criteria.
- Analyse project specifications, technical drawings, and proposal requests to determine precise estimation requirements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to explore innovative techniques and procedures, establish project scope, and obtain competitive quotes while nurturing strong relationships.
- Develop, document, and implement comprehensive estimate strategies covering planning, cost analysis, risk mitigation, and delivery execution.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate the development and delivery of all tender deliverables.
Essential Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Ensure you have full rights to work in Australia.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of electrical estimating.
- Qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering are desirable.
- Previous experience as an Electrician is highly desirable
- A demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team of all levels.
- Intermediate Microsoft skills for documentation and reporting.
- A flair for creating and delivering compelling presentations.
- Proficiency in articulating the organsation's values, capabilities, capacity, history, and our competitive offerings (both quantitative and qualitative).
- Uphold impeccable accuracy and quality standards throughout the estimating and scheduling processes.
Roster/Work Environment:
- Full-time position on a 5:2 roster.
- Based in Burswood
