Chillin Air Conditioning & Electrical are an established company of 31 years in the industry specialising in air conditioning & now electrical for new build homes.   

Based in Loganholme ( Head office) , we provide all aspects of air conditioning, however after launching our smarts division, we have been asked in a short time from our builders to offer  full electrical , we realised the need for a full dedicated electrical division to offer our builders, so that Chillin can provide and offer the one stop shop for air conditioning, electrical, lighting, power and telecommunications.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and head up our electrical quoting and design division.

Primary Objective

This primary purpose of this position will be to complete and create detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of electrical projects in the home residential building industry.

 Your main duties will include:

• Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including material, labour, and equipment costs
• Review estimates to minimise errors and discrepancies.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services
• Collaborate with Management to assess project timelines, potential risks, and unique project considerations
• Develop comprehensive proposals, including all necessary documentation and pricing details
• Work closely with Chillin Sales team & Sales Managers to ensure alignment on project methodologies, strategies, and objectives
• Participate in pre-tender meetings and site visits to gain a deeper understanding of project requirements
• Verify that estimates are in compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Prepare and present cost analysis reports and updates to management as needed

The Candidate

The successful candidate for this opportunity will be highly motivated, confident in their communication skills and have meticulous attention to detail. 

 You will also hold the following experience, skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Estimator in the residential construction sector, with proven success tendering electrical on new home builds
• Electrical trade qualification preferable with field knowledge and experience
• Proficiency in electrical estimation software and tools, Aroflo, Groundplan and other software programs
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, standards, codes and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current Australian driver's licence
