Job Description:
The Electrical Fitter is responsible for the assembly, wiring, and complete manufacture of electrical switchboards. This includes control panels, custom and modular switchboards, and larger main switchboards.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical equipment into switchboards/panels including switchgear, control systems, busbars
- Work with both custom-built and modular assemblies
- Read, interpret, and redline markups of electrical specifications, general arrangement drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Calculations associated with current carrying capacity of cable, busbars, fuses, and other circuit protective devices
- Inspect, test commission equipment
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and clients.
Requirements:
- Extensive electrical fitting experience
- Working knowledge of switchboard assemble
- Previous experience with a switchboard manufacturer is desirable
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards in electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a challenging environment.
- Electrical engineering or Electrical Fitter qualified.
