Programmed, in partnership with Yancoal, is committed to upskilling the local community in the Hunter Valley region, by offering a leading four year Apprenticeship Program, commencing January 2025.
Yancoal's Mount Thorley Warkworth operations is currently seeking candidates who are interested in a career within the coal mining industry for an Electrical, Plant Mechanic, Fitting and an Auto Electrical Apprenticeship to be based in their Maintenance or CHPP team. Mt Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is one of largest open pit operations located in the NSW Hunter Valley region approximately 15km south-west of Singleton.

Inherent requirements of employment
Australian citizen or permanent resident
Must hold a current driver's licence or have plans to obtain a driver's licence within the first 12 months
Applications must have completed HSC
Candidates must live within a one (1) hour drive of Yancoal Mount Thorley Warkworth
All shortlisted candidates will need to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical including Drug and Alcohol test. (electrical candidates must also pass colour vision testing)
Recent school leavers are required to upload the last two school reports.
