Electrical Fitter / Electrical Pump Fitter

About the role:

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Pump Fitter at our underground operations. Work will be 100% mine site based, carrying out general maintenance, repair and rebuild/restoration work on underground mono’s & submersible pump dewatering system.

Whilst there are key responsibilities outlined below, your willingness to be flexible and adaptable each day, combined with your work ethic and positive attitude will be what makes you a successful candidate!

Duties and responsibilities:

• Pump repair and assessment
• General servicing and repairs to U/G Dewatering Pump Systems
• Mono and centrifugal pump servicing
• Report to Electrical Supervisor on daily activities
• Preparing report documentation as required
• Demonstration of organisation and preparedness to undertake assigned tasks

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Trade qualifications as an Electrician or Mechanical Fitter
• Knowledge and experience with underground pumping systems would be advantageous
• Building services pump maintenance and minor install experience would be an advantage
• Experience with electric motors would also be an advantage
• Reasonable computer skills
• Highly motivated with the ability to plan, schedule and manage time efficiently
• Physically fit and healthy
• Have the commitment to adhere to the companies Quality and WHSE policies and procedures
• Be open to work overtime as required
• Current Australian manual driver’s licence is required
• High Risk Work Licence for Forklift, EWP

The Operation

Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production.
Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
