AddressElectrical / Mechanical Fitter
Location: Smithfield
Pay Rate: $50-55 per hour
Hours: Day Shift
We are Express Employment Professionals, partnering with a leader in the electrical and magnetics industry.
We are looking for reliable Electrical/Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Smithfield.
Job Duties:
- Inspect and repair small steam turbines
- Disassemble turbines and electric motors
- Overhaul and re-blade turbines (training provided)
- Overhaul electric motors
- Balance rotating equipment (training provided)
- Repair hydraulically driven gensets
- Diagnose and repair electromagnets (training provided)
- Perform machining during repairs
- Occasional site work within the Sydney metro area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification or Electrical Fitter/Mechanic
- Experience in mechanical assembly and rotating equipment
- Welding and basic fabrication skills
- Basic machining skills (e.g. lathe)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proactive safety approach
- Driver's license
