eMarine Solutions is seeking qualified electricians to provide prompt service to our expanding customer base. Marine Electrical is one of the most diverse sectors within the electrical trade. Every day presents a new challenge that requires exceptional skills, adapting to changing environments.
Being the most prominent Marine Electrical Contractor on the Sunshine Coast, you will be exposed primarily with Lithium Battery/Solar/Inverter installations, including all AS3000/AS3004.2 mandatory testing requirements, on Marine Pleasure Craft. Commercial Vessels, Light Industrial and Land Base Commercial projects do arise from time to time.
Potential candidates must have 2 years post trade experience in electrical sectors other than residential. Marine experience is not mandatory but desirable. The most important attribute for candidates, without marine experience, is a willingness to self learn, apply common sense and safe work practices to unfamiliar job tasks. Being passionate about hobbies such as boating, fishing and sailing will ensure your enjoyment and interest in the role. Remember, Love what you do and Never work a day in your life!
The successful candidates will be exposed to installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of all marine electrical systems. Basic vessel electrical systems include engine starting, charging and metering circuits, bilge pumps, anchor winches, pressure pumps, navigation lights etc. Typical alternating current installations can include generators, isolation transformers, polarity detection circuits, lighting and power, airconditioning and refrigeration. Communication is essential at sea and the technology changes daily. There isn't a day go by where we don't work on VHF/HF radios, mobile phone boosters, satellite TV, satellite internet, satellite telephony and automatic identification systems. Don't forget chart plotters/sounders, radars and instruments. Chances are, if you can imagine it, we do it.
