Qualifications & experience
We are looking for an Electrical Fitter or Trade Assistant to be involved in the construction & manufacturing of our custom switchboard projects, based out of our Hallam depot.
- Driver's license and own vehicle preferred
- Hold a White Card
- Local to the area would be preferred
- Experience with interpreting & designing electrical schematics
- Knowledge of electrical standards & regulations
- Wiring and/or busbar experience highly preferred
- A strong focus on neatness and accuracy
- Ability to work unsupervised and be a team player when met with tight deadlines
- Hold an Electrical Fitter's qualification OR
- Have years of experience as a Trade Assistant in switchboard manufacturing
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist other qualified electricians / fitters and focus on working as a team.
- Assist apprentices and help them to learn and develop trade skills.
- Install, repair, and manufacture various electrical wiring systems within electrical switchboards.
- Operate specialist machinery specific to building/manufacturing switchboards.
- Follow all OHS safety codes and building regulations
- Prepare and clean work areas
- Build and develop skills in reading & writing electrical diagrams and schematics.
