Electrical Maintenance Coordinator

Sibanye Stillwater Australia, a subsidiary of Sibanye Stillwater Limited (a multinational mining and metals processing group), is a leading mining, tailings management, and economic rehabilitation company. Our flagship Century project in Queensland (formerly New century resources) stands as Australia's largest tailings remining and processing operation. 

A rewarding opportunity currently exists for an Electrical Maintenance Coordinatorto join our Sibanye Stillwater Australia team. This role is responsible for delivering Shift Supervision requirements related to Lawn Hill electrical operations. 

This position will be offered as a 15/13-day shift working roster (FIFO), located at our Century Mine (Lawn Hill). 

Key accountabilities include:

• The statutory compliance of the site
• The Electrical safety performance of the site
• The Electrical reliability and availability performance of the site
• Effective interfacing with government and legislative bodies to achieve cost effective solutions
• The development of electricians
• Results delivered within maintenance and project budgets.

Ideally, applicants will possess the following technical skills, knowledge, and qualifications:

Technical

Experience with;

• Industrial wirings systems, as found in heavy plant and equipment including poly phase multi voltage DOL, reduced voltage, and VSD motor stating circuits;
• PLC/DCS and SCADA controllers and systems
• Broad instrumentation experience
• Hybrid installations as found in solar PV, diesel generation equipment;
• Diesel generation systems including load shedding, and synchronisation controllers;
• High Voltage Power system maintenance and operation
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems
• Maintenance within a Concentrator processing plant
• Communication Systems
• HV Mobile Equipment

People

• Effective communicator at various levels (Management, Technical, Operational, Contractors)
• Conflict resolution 
• Customer focus
• Ability to work tactically and think strategically

Experience:

• At least 5 years in Concentrator processing plant or similar background
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Heavy Industrial Environment 
• At least 2 years’ experience as a team leader or supervisor
• Previous employment at similar role

Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences:

• Electrical Workers Licence, (Queensland) or Tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification 
• High Voltage Switching Competency,
• Low Voltage Rescue / CPR Accreditation,
• High Risk Workers Licence, (Class WP, Elevated Work Platform) highly valued
• Current C Class Driver license
• Senior First Aid
