About the Project - Upper South Creek
New greenfield Advanced Water Recycling Centre and associated infrastructure which will provide wastewater services and recycled water for the Aerotropolis, Western Sydney Airport and Southwest Growth Areas.
The project will include the Design, Construction and 10yr Operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant and an Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which will produce:
- High-quality treated water suitable for recycling & environmental flows to an ultimate capacity of 70ML/d
- Biosolids suitable for beneficial reuse
- A new 25km pipeline from the AWRC to Sydney Water’s existing wastewater system to discharge brine.
- A new 16km pipeline from the AWRC to the Nepean River, to release excess treated water.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Senior Project Engineer with experience within the Water/Wastewater Industry to join our Upper South Creek Project, based on-site in Kemps Creek, NSW. This is a key role, reporting into our Electrical Engineering Lead, where you will be responsible to coordinate on-site engineering functions for allocated projects to achieve time and budget objectives and provide efficient support for construction activities.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Manage on-site engineering functions through subordinates, which may include Project Engineers, and/or Cost/Planning Engineers
Obtain relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specifications
Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary
Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved
Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work
To be successful in this key role we are looking for:
Electrical Engineering Degree
Minimum 10 years post graduate engineering experience with 4+ years site based
Project Engineer and operational experience
Advanced commercial acumen including cost reduction and meeting budgets
Understanding of the Quality Management Plan. Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Projects Design Management Plan
