About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of an Electrical Supervisor to join our esteemed client's team based in Lake Way. This position offers a six-month duration with potential extension and permanent opportunities. The work schedule operates on either an 8/6 or 2/2 roster FIFO from Perth. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing electrical operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, and contributing to the seamless functioning of the site. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulations for borefield infrastructure.
- Manage on-site works and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Oversee operational activities and routine checks.
- Fulfill statutory obligations under health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate teams and provide performance feedback.
- Monitor equipment inspection and hazard identification.
- Mentor and ensure training compliance for direct reports.
- Collaborate across departments to achieve objectives.
- Manage rostering, recruitment, and contractor coordination.
- Prepare and distribute reports on borefield activities.
- Maintain accurate incident reporting and safety compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost control initiatives.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Current "C" Class Western Australian driver’s license.
- Completion of an electrical trade qualification.
- Meeting statutory requirements including Level 4 risk management competencies and DMIRS mining law examination.
- Construction White Card.
- Certificate IV Frontline Management (advantageous).
- Proficiency in Office 365, Pronto, Aconex, INX, and DEMIRS Portal.
- In-depth understanding of WA Electrical Requirements, Electrical Regulations, and Work Health and Safety regulations.
- 5+ years industry experience as an electrician post-apprenticeship.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a front-line supervisor.
- Exposure to borefields, heavy equipment operations, and remote locations.
- Proficient in leading hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Effective leadership skills for enabling team development and knowledge transfer.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle complex situations and make decisions under pressure.
