In a JV with Guidera O'Connor, John Holland is delivering capital projects for SA Water under a four-year framework agreement for up to $500m, focused on water services across southern metropolitan Adelaide and regional areas of SA.
We will deliver a diverse portfolio of projects over the next four years which includes dam upgrades, water tank refurbishments, water main replacements, sewerage network upgrades and water treatment process changes, with work spread across both the metropolitan area and regions.
About the PositionThe SA Water Program team are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisorto join the team, based in Adelaide CBD.
The role will be to lead and coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to development of work methods and plan daily/weekly production work.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.
- Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager
- Ensure compliance of commercial and financial costs including budgets
- Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety and environmental management.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to build a risk management culture.
- Select, train and develop leading hands and ensure the observance of safety, other work standards and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.
- Experience working in a Leading Hand position, ready to step up in a Supervisor position.
- A minimum of 2-5 years previous electrical construction experience in a similar role.
- Experience or exposure managing non-electrical trades and subcontractors
- Skill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
- People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
