 The opportunity

Cromarty is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to join our Devonport team.

Cromarty technicians provide a wide range of services to our customers, including, but not limited to:

• Electrical and Control System installation, maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Instrumentation installation, configuration, calibration & troubleshooting
• Communication Systems installation, testing and troubleshooting.
• Installation and servicing of electrical equipment
• Electrical design support
• Hazardous area installation and maintenance
• Engineering support

Role Requirements

• Hold a current Electrical Practitioners License – Electrician.
• Instrumentation qualifications (or willingness to be trained to Cert III in Instrumentation and control).
• Sound knowledge of computer systems and common software.
• Instrumentation maintenance and calibrations.
• Hold a current Driver's License
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership by adhering to and promoting all Cromarty safety policies and procedures.
• Be reliable, have good initiative, and quality focused.
• Good time management, well organised, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills - written, spoken, listening and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Customer focused. 
• Problem solving skills through sound fault finding and fault rectification processes.

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

• White Card, WAH, Confined Space High-Risk inc.  EWP, LF are desirable.
• Industrial / manufacturing environment experience
• PLC, RTU &VFD maintenance and troubleshooting
• SCADA system knowledge / experience
• Fibre Optic/CAT6 networking
• UPS systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
