The opportunity
Cromarty is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical / Instrumentation Technician to join our Devonport team.
Cromarty technicians provide a wide range of services to our customers, including, but not limited to:
- Electrical and Control System installation, maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Instrumentation installation, configuration, calibration & troubleshooting
- Communication Systems installation, testing and troubleshooting.
- Installation and servicing of electrical equipment
- Electrical design support
- Hazardous area installation and maintenance
- Engineering support
Role Requirements
- Hold a current Electrical Practitioners License – Electrician.
- Instrumentation qualifications (or willingness to be trained to Cert III in Instrumentation and control).
- Sound knowledge of computer systems and common software.
- Instrumentation maintenance and calibrations.
- Hold a current Driver's License
- Demonstrate strong safety leadership by adhering to and promoting all Cromarty safety policies and procedures.
- Be reliable, have good initiative, and quality focused.
- Good time management, well organised, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills - written, spoken, listening and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Customer focused.
- Problem solving skills through sound fault finding and fault rectification processes.
Experience in the following will be highly regarded:
- White Card, WAH, Confined Space High-Risk inc. EWP, LF are desirable.
- Industrial / manufacturing environment experience
- PLC, RTU &VFD maintenance and troubleshooting
- SCADA system knowledge / experience
- Fibre Optic/CAT6 networking
- UPS systems maintenance and troubleshooting.
