About the CompanyOur client is a South East Queensland based Diversified Trades Business with over 35 years of experience and four separate divisions.
This position is part of our client’s Infrastructure Services Division.
The team specialises in electrical infrastructure works and provides a comprehensive range of design, supply and construction services. Our client’s projects include major road and rail infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects, urban developments and subdivisions, and airports and airfields.
Our client has over 110 team members with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects for our wide range of clients.
About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our client’s Infrastructure Services team based at Hendra, Brisbane.
You will be responsible for:
- Utilising technical knowledge, skills and capabilities to interpret specifications, drawing and manuals.
- Undertaking problem solving and job specific reporting in accordance with requirements.
- Committing to all facets of on the job compliance including code and OH&S.
- Demonstrating the ability to think laterally and plan jobs ensuring all equipment and resources are available.
- Effectively communicating with clients, suppliers and team members.
About You
- Preference for any experience with the Energex/Ergon network
- Preference for any experience with High Voltage Infrastructure (private/network)
- Preference for any experience with Substations, Large Customer Connections etc.
- Preference for any experience with overhead, underground reticulation.
- Preference for any experience/understanding switching Low Voltage networks
- Preference for any experience working on TMR Rate 3
- Current unrestricted QLD Electrical Workers Licence
- Experience building, fault finding, and commissioning traffic signals
- Current manual drivers’ licence
- Reliable, hardworking, and conscientious
- Unwavering commitment to code compliance and WHS requirements
- Excellent communicator who is comfortable working autonomously within a team
