Electrician

Bindaree Food Group (BFG) is a vertically integrated supply chain business delivering global meat solutions both domestically and internationally and has solidified its position as a prominent leader in the Australian meat industry.  In 2023, BFG acquired the Monbeef processing facility located in Cooma, at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. The Monbeef facility is a world-class processing plant taking quality beef from South Eastern Australia to the nation and the world.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working as part of our dedicated on-site Maintenance team, you will perform a wide range of preventative maintenance and breakdown tasks to help reduce downtime of our production facility. The central focus of this role and our Maintenance team is to ensure the ongoing availability, reliability and capability of the plants process, systems, and equipment.

This role will work a 38 hour week Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and rectify issues
• Performing scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Responding to breakdowns and malfunctions promptly to minimise production downtime
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to ensure seamless operations
• Installing, configuring, and testing new electrical equipment and systems
• Adhering to safety guidelines and regulations to create a secure working environment

Required skills & experience:

• Must hold a current drivers licence & NSW electrical licence.
• Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and work constructively as part of a team supporting co-workers.
• Experience within a food processing environment will be highly regarded
