The Opportunity
James Hardie is on the hunt for Electricians who will be part of the team of tradesmen providing maintenance support to the Rosehill plant.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role will be responsible for executing electrical maintenance and breakdown support to ensure that the electrical systems function at a level that supports the operational team’s requirements for safe, reliable factory processing equipment.
We have both day and shift positions available currently.
Roster:
Day: Monday to Friday; 6:00am to 2:30pm
Shift: Rotating roster, 4 on 4 off (2 day/2 night) 12 hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Completing maintenance jobs to the satisfaction of internal customers including but not limited to:
- Marking up and updating drawings of electrical circuits
- Removing or installing pieces of equipment
- Performing online preventative maintenance inspections of machinery
- Fault finding and diagnosing break downs on machinery
- Replacing sensors, limit switches, checking/changing PLC code, checking drive parameters
- Changing out any electrical components including items such as motors, cables, plugs, switches, sensors, lights, etc
- Carrying out minor tasks outside of scope of role, such as assisting fitter or operators as required – this goes for any support person
- Resetting overloads on equipment and investigating the cause of repeat overloads
- Replacing electrical circuitry (e.g. wiring, contactors, fuses, relays, etc.) as required inside electrical panels
- Completing safety forms such as JSA or CTW
- Assisting with identifying and implementing plant performance improvement opportunities
- Ensure that James Hardie’s operations are in line with Work Health and Safety Requirements
- Complying with any reasonable request related to health and safety including attending health and safety related training, participating in health and safety initiatives / activities and ensuring that either your acts or omissions do not place any person at risk
About you
- Electrical Trade Certificate or higher qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy process manufacturing environment
- Experience with industrial control systems such as PLC’s, specifically for diagnostic problem solving.
- Servo drive (SEW) and DC motor experience – trouble shooting and program changing.
- Aptitude for hands-on work coupled with fault-finding and strong problem solving skills
- Commitment to personal safety through following James Hardie’s safety vision
- Forklift Licence
- EWP licence
- High Voltage training
- SAP Experience
