About the role:
Our Cooranbong Maintenace team is on the lookout for a self-starter who leads by example. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a qualified Electrician and in maintenance or handyman roles. You will be comfortable working within our Cooranbong residential and retirement village facilities, interacting respectfully with our residents, staff and sub-contractors.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform a variety of electrical and General Maintenance tasks fundamental to keeping our Cooranbong facilities and equipment in top condition, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.

Key responsibilities:
- Leverage your electrical trade and /or technical background and experience to solve technical and maintenance issues.
- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks to meet our service delivery goals.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families, demonstrating respect, empathy, and genuine understanding towards the needs of our aged residents.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to ASL regulatory standards and complies with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Perform building and property maintenance tasks promptly, including routine, planned, and reactive maintenance.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
- Trade qualifications in an electrical services trade, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Tools of the trade to support electrical works (allowance provided)
- Current Driver’s License
- Desirable - experience in working with other trades (carpentry, plumbing etc.)
- Familiarity with contractor obligations
- Effective time management and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)

- Knowledge of relevant legislation related to buildings and workplace health and safety
- Willingness to obtain and NDIS Workers Screen Check and undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
