The role
Permanent full-time role, 76 hours p.f.
The Clinical Facilitator is an advanced practice nurse who, in consultation with the Nurse Unit Manager, delivers clinical support and practice enhancement activities designed to meet identified organisational and individual learning and development needs of nurses within the clinical settings of the Medical Ward at the Mount Isa Hospital.
The Medical Ward is a 16 bed unit that cares for a diverse range of clientele, including those with cardiac, respiratory, endocrine, neurological and renal aliments. The ward specialises for those who require palliative care services.
Requirements
Qualification or willingness to obtain certification in workplace training and assessment (Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor, or equivalent) would be highly desirable.
Travel may be a requirement of the role and a C class motor vehicle licence is required to operate fleet vehicles.
Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences, evidence of these will be required prior to appointment. Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate; this may include criminal history checks and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role compliance. VPD risk roles may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-19. A 6-month period of probation may apply.
