Electrician – Cane Railway Team Operating on a 24-hour, seven day a week basis, we are looking for a ‘switched on’ Electrician to join our Cane Rail Network Team Potential of a 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday) Job Security Great Team About the role The gradual development of the network has seen many changes to the local landscape, particularly through the encroachment of housing, other industries, and alternative farming enterprises around the railway system.
As an Electrician working in the Cane Railway Team, you will be able to use your skills in a unique industry as a key member of the Cane Rail maintenance team. A team-based position, focused on meeting challenging targets of throughput, safety, and quality, you will have the responsibility for installing, maintaining, connecting, commissioning, and modifying electrical components and equipment, as well as wiring and control systems predominantly for locomotives and railway signals. As a minimum you will hold and / or maintain the following Qualifications and Licenses: Current Electrical Licenses (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic) Industrial plant experience would be an advantage, however, is not critical.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment Effective communication skills An excellent focus on safety and wellbeing Valid Australian driver’s license You will be a person that is comfortable with working in a continuous improvement environment, and you will have: Demonstrated experience working in a manual labour workplace Time management and ability to prioritise competing demands Maintain high work standards with minimal supervision
