Electrician - Transformer Division

What you will do:

We are looking for a qualified Electrician to join our Mackay Workshop team in our Transformer Division. This permanent, full-time role will see you carrying out electrical works for Ampcontrol customers and ensuring their overall satisfaction with our products and services.

Typical duties include:

• Electrical equipment assembly and maintenance,
• Replacing and refurbishing bushings, valves, pumps, fans, and other protection equipment,
• Tap changer repairs,
• Electrical testing of transformers (IR, Turns Ratio, Winding Resistance, Dynamic Resistance),
• Fabrication of gaskets

What are looking for from you?:

Your strong service-oriented mindset, coupled with excellent time management skills, will be complemented by the following:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent)
• Electrical Trade Certificate is essential
• High voltage and/or electrical mining machinery experience
• Experience working within a high risk environment
• Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to join a fun and hard working team, with a passion for what they do and how they do it!!
