About the Rothsay Project
The Rothsay Gold Mine is located approximately 80km east of Perenjori WA and approximately 400kms from Perth Airport or 1 hr flight from Perth. The scope of this project includes mine development (2 boom capital and single boom narrow vein) and mine production (narrow vein longhole stoping). Redpath has a modern underground fleet making it an exciting opportunity for operators and tradespeople alike.
The role involves
- Working a 2 week on, 2 week off roster, 12hr shifts
- Monitor the status and condition of electrical equipment in the mine and advise the supervisor of any potential problem areas.
- Servicing of equipment as per service schedules.
- Repairs to electrical equipment efficiently and consistent with the required standard of work.
- Ensure that tasks allocated by supervisor are carried out efficiently and promptly.
- Correctly use and maintain any specialised installation and test equipment while performing duties.
We are looking for
- Demonstrated experience working on underground mining equipment and installations
- An Electrical Trade Certificate
- HV Switching Ticket
- Working at Heights Ticket
- Low Voltage rescue/ First Aid /CPR
- Underground communication installation and repairs
- RCT digital Tele remote experience is advantageous
- Knowledge and application of safe and reliable electrical installation and maintenance practices to maximise equipment, reliability, availability and productivity
- Valid manual drivers licence
- National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
