What You'll Do:
We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Capital Accountant to become part of our Technical Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, control, tracking and strategic reporting of Major Development projects in alignment with financial and project frameworks, ensuring their success and effectiveness.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Feasibility & Studies and collaborating closely with our Finance team, the keys to success entail:
- Guarantee the efficient, accurate, and timely completion of necessary month-end tasks for the Curragh accounting ledgers while ensuring compliance with SOX controls, IFRS, and USGAA accounting standards.
- Ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of project month-end reporting and forecasting deliverables as per management requirements, while maintaining compliance with internal controls.
- Prepare monthly project financial reporting packages, encompassing financial results and variance analysis tailored for the Curragh Leadership Team.
- Prepare and furnish crucial inputs and commentary on projects for both internal and external reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with consulting project management teams to ensure alignment of financials.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks and processes.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in commerce/Accounting
- CA/CPA Qualification is desirable
- Experience working in a Professional Services firm or in Project cost control roles
- Experience in a large multi listed or ASX listed business, and/or the Mining industry is desirable
- Demonstrated experience in Project Finance Management and cost controls
- Demonstrated experience with Finance Business Partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders
