Electronic Security Specialist - Remote

• Use your experience and technical knowledge of Electronic Security, Video Surveillance and Physical Security to protect Sydney Water’s staff, partners, and assets.
• Contribute to Sydney Water’s Electronic Security transformation program.

What will you be doing?

Note: This role is not a Digital Cyber Security role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive knowledge of Video Surveillance, Electronic Communications and Access Control systems to join Sydney Water’s Protective Security and Emergency Management Business Unit.

Get involved with a small team of professionals and contribute to strategic planning of Sydney waters security assets, including systems design, stakeholder and contractor engagement, technical documentation, and preparation and management of the asset management plan and other engineering documentation.

You will:

• Represent Sydney Water Protective Security and Emergency Management unit and be the interface for project works from needs analysis, design, quote assessment, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and review new and cutting-edge technology and security measures for application to the existing suite of security processes and measures to enhance the security of our sites, assets, and personnel.
• Elicit systems requirements from analysis of Electronic Security Risk Assessments and apply solutions to systems design and delivery.
• Be the interface to enable projects from concept design to completion.
• Be a member of the CCB and carry out configuration management tasks including systems update and documentation.
• Carry out Incident Management tasks, including investigations of incidents and advice and support to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Business Unit Overview: Sydney Water’s Protective Security and Emergency Management team works closely with all Sydney Water business units and partners to ensure an integrated approach to protective security that meets current and anticipated future threats. The team provides support in the areas of Physical, Personnel, Electronic, Information, and Cyber security via the provision of:

• Enterprise security governance & coordination
• Enterprise security risk assessments
• Security advisory services
• Security auditing at the second line of assurance

Who are we looking for?

Note: This role is not a Digital Cyber Security role.

You have extensive experience in the Electronic Security industry, with demonstrated capabilities in the delivery or maintenance of security systems preferable over a large, distributed network, you have also been involved with, or are very keen to be involved in, large scale, long term Electronic Security transformation projects.

• Tertiary qualifications from a security, communications, or computer-based field and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong technical background in either delivery or maintenance of Security systems, Networks, and infrastructure.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams delivering projects, working with other business units and external delivery partners.
