Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electronics / Computer Technician to join our dynamic team in Gawler, South Australia. This role involves a blend of in-shop and fieldwork, engaging directly with clients to resolve their electronic device issues. Ideal candidates should have a strong passion for electronics, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a drive to provide impactful tech solutions within the community. The ideal candidate will have leadership aspirations and will be able to build professional and personal skills within our company group.
Required Skills
At least 2 years of experience in electronics repair, including mobiles, tablets, laptops, and PCs.
Experience in board-level repairs.
Ability to conduct component-level diagnostics with the aid of schematics, multimeter, and other tools.
Advanced skills in soldering and micro-soldering.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for effective troubleshooting.
Skilled in firmware updates, data recovery, and operating system installations across various platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in detailed electronic repairs, including screen and component replacements for mobile phones.
Experience in replacing notebook screens is desirable.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Committed to high standards in every task, from customer service to managing multiple service requests.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of mobiles, tablets, PCs, and laptops.
Provide clear and effective technical support to clients.
Maintain accurate records in our ticketing and inventory management systems.
Address complex technical issues and offer practical, understandable solutions.
Conduct soldering and micro-soldering tasks as part of component repairs.
Execute board-level repairs, utilizing in-depth knowledge of electronic circuitry and components.
Qualifications
Certificate IV in Electronics or proven background as an electronics technician or a similar role for at least 2 years.
