The Company
Our client provides marketing, representation, and project management for overseas manufacturers, alongside long-term support, and maintenance services for delivered products.

For over 20 years, our client has supplied specialized systems, equipment, parts, and services to the Australian Defence Forces, Emergency Services, Government, and Industry.

This role will require occasional travel and time away from the office to the Naval base along with state site visits once a quarter (to either SA or WA).
Responsibilities and Duties

• Supporting our client’s long-term support and maintenance services for delivered products, primarily in the Defence sector.
• Performing field and workshop-based routine maintenance, fault finding, and repair tasks on advanced electronic equipment.
• Assisting in the completion of documentation for required repairs/Defence documentation associated with engineering-related tasks.
• Complying with Engineering procedures, Repair Specifications, and adhering to safe work practices.
• Assisting with technical investigations, commissioning activities, and larger scale repair tasks.
• Generally supporting the wider business objectives of our client and contributing toward building a sustainable business in a team environment.
• Fault diagnostic and repair tasks on designated equipment.
• Routine and preventative maintenance on designated equipment.
• Field-based commissioning and maintenance tasks.
• Working on visual landing aids, integrated communication systems, chemical detection systems & meteorological systems.

Job Specifications

• Trade Qualifications in Electronics, Communications, or Avionics.
• 2-3 years experience in Defence projects within Australia.  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of Office 365 applications.
• Class C Driver’s License.
