Form of workElegant Smiles is searching for a new Dentist to join our Accredited Dental Practice. The role may be full-time (M/W/Th/F) or two part-time dentists. We take pride in our infection control, clinical procedures and running of our practice, with standards and protocols to ensure our patients receive the same standard of treatment. Our practice philosophy is based on prevention and education and we are always looking at ways to improve everything we do.
Our owner is a Prosthodontist returning part-time from maternity leave, two part-time dentists, an oral health therapist, three nurses and a full-time office manager. We need to replace our third dentist who stepped away from dentistry for medical reasons so you will be taking on full books.
We are located in South Perth and all enjoy coming to work, who we work with and our patients. Our practice runs like our staff are our family and our patients are our friends. We have a good team culture and all get along well. We do a full range of dental treatments and do not refer much treatment out of the practice. We have a solid base of general dentistry and hygiene/periodontal treatment, surgical extractions, Invisalign, endodontics, implant surgery and restoration, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry and see both children and adults.
We have invested significantly in digital dentistry and have a Trios scanner, Dental system lab software, 3D printers and E4 and E5 VHF mills for chairside, same/next day dentistry. We 3D print our models, surgical guides and splints; fabricate our retainers and whitening trays in- house. We currently provide clear aligners through Invisalign, but will be bringing clear aligner production in house this year. We have the standard rotary endo, a microscope for use as needed, smart bleach whitening, hard and soft tissue laser and other toys. In the future we want to move to a bigger premises to get more toys!
The position is taking over existing patients. This is not a position for a new or recent graduate, working independently is required. Mentoring is provided by our Prosthodontist to anyone who desires it in any aspect of dentistry, with a regular weekly treatment planning/discussion/skills session.

The working hours are as follows
Part time Dentist position days (2 days)
- Monday: 7:45am to 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 7:45am to 6:30pm
- Wednesday: 7:45am to 6:30pm
- Thursday: 7:45am to 5:30pm
- Friday: 7:45am to 4:00 pm
- One 6:30pm finish per week is expected per operator.
Remuneration is as an employee and paid on percentage of production (not collection) and includes annual leave, sick leave and superannuation entitlements. A continuing education allowance of $1000 per year is provided to part-time clinicians and $2500 for full-time clinicians.
A period of paid observation and training (1-4 weeks depending on experience) is required for the incoming operators. This allows us to fully train and support you in regard to our software (Ulitmo) and practice policies prior to you working on your own.
